Need Ideas

Posted in Group:

Yesterday was my first day without a cigarette in 35 years. I am using the patch and physically it's fine but the thought of a smoke is on my mind all the time. Any suggestions?

It's not going to be pretty and it's gonna get rough when all you do is think about it. It takes a long time to unlearn that bad habit. I never smoked until 2 years ago and I am finally finished with it. You have to replace a bad habit with something healthy in your life. You have to finally know and tell yourself that smoking doesn't do one good thing for you except make your health worse. When you have the urge and want to do it you gonna have to replace it with something else in your life that you would like to do that is healthy though. You could try poppin a mint everytime you have the urge tic tacs worked for someone I know.

As long as you follow the gum to the directions that will give you a good start and then you have to use mind or matter saying to yourself, I don't need a cigg. I am not going to have a cigg. It's a pain in the but and it sucks but they have nic lozenges now too.
